2008 saw the release of Christopher Nolan’s superhero movie The Dark Knight, which he directed from a script he co-wrote with his brother Jonathan. Christopher insisted on realistic stunts like overturning an 18-wheel truck and burning up a factory, avoiding the use of computer-generated graphics unless absolutely required.
